ZÜRI BRÄNNT ORIGINAL EP
Am 5. Juni 1979 erschien „Züri Brännt“ auf dem Indie Label Voxpop. Das explosive Coverfoto schoss Lisa Etter, die Texte zu den drei Songs auf der EP lagen auf einem separaten Inlet bei. Neben „Züri Brännt“ war mit „Subway Scene“ eine weitere Dogbodys-Nummer aus der Feder von Ray Fairbrother enthalten. „131“ war einer der ersten eigenen Songs von TNT. Die Originalausgabe von „Züri Brännt“ wechselt heute zu hohen Sammlerpreisen die Besitzer.
The original "Züri Brännt“ 45 was released on June 5, 1979 on the indie label Voxpop. The „explosive" cover photo was shot by Lisa Etter, the lyrics were included on a separate inlet. Besides "Züri Brännt", "Subway Scene" was another song from the Dogbodys repertoire, featured on the EP. "131" was one of TNT's first selfwritten songs. The original edition of "Züri Brännt" changes hands today at high collector's prices.
BOOTLEG 45

REISSUES
2008 erschienen „Züri Brännt“ und weitere TNT Single-Aufnahmen erstmals auf CD - auf dem japanischen Label Base. Als Bomustrack gabs die Liveaufnahme „Stupid Boy“. 2014 veröffentlichte das deutsche Label Static Age zusammen mit swisspunk.ch „Züri Brännt“ sowie alle anderen Single Tracks plus einen Remix der 10“ Platte „Eine kleine Machtmusik“ auf einer Reissue-Doppel LP. Dazu kamen Liveaufnahmen und Übungsraumdemos - sozusagen die „Complete Recordings“ der Band. Das definitive Vermächtnis von TNT.

In 2014 the German label Static Age together with swisspunk.ch released "Züri Brännt" and all other single tracks plus a remix of the 10" record "Eine kleine Machtmusik" on a reissue double vinyl album. Also included were live recordings and practice room demos - the band's "Complete Recordings", so to speak. The ultimate legacy of TNT!
THE MONSTERS ZÜRI BRÖNNT COVERVERSION
Wo es schreit, da lässt sich Berns Trash-Hohepriester Reverend Beat-Man Zeller gerne nieder. Kein Wunder, dass er sich mit seiner Band The Monsters schon 1995 an eine „Züri Brännt“ Coverversion wagte, die auf dem Album „Youth Against Nature“ erschien. 2008 veröffentlichte das für seine exotischen Produktionen bekannte Label Squoodge Records im wahrsten Sinne des Worts eine Mini EP des Songs. Die Lathe Platte hat nur fünf Zentimeter Durchmesser und dürfte kaum abspielbar sein. Dafür gibt es auf der B-Seite der Platte gleich zwei Liveversionen von Züri Brönnt. Laut Band und Label die kleinste Schallplatte der Welt.
Bern's trash high priest Reverend Beat-Man Zeller is a noise addict. No wonder he did a „Züri Brännt“ cover version with his band The Monsters as early as in 1995, which appeared on the album "Youth Against Nature". In 2008, the label Squoodge Records, known for its exotic productions, literally released a mini EP of the song. The Lathe cut measures only 2" and is hardly playable. For compensation, two live versions of Züri Brönnt were featured on the record’s B-side. According to band and label informations this is the world's smallest record!

PAUL WEIXLER ALBUM
2003 veröffentlichte „Züri Brännt“ Ko-Texter Paul Weixler sein bisher einziges Album „Freiwild“ auf BOY (Because Of You). Aus „Dogbodys“ Zeiten schaffte es etwa seine Mundart-Adaption von „I Wanna Be Your Dog“ („Hund“) aufs Album. Dem Underground-Texter gelang laut dem Journalisten Albert Kuhn der Spagat, „radikale Hippie-Weltumarmungsgefühle mit illusionlosen Strassenratten-Weisheiten zu kreuzen“. Ein später Zürcher Untergrundklassiker - leider ohne Weixlers eigene „Züri Brännt“ Version(en), die er später zwar aufnahm, aber nicht veröffentlichte.
In 2003, "Züri Brännt" co-lyricist Paul Weixler released „Freiwild“, his only album to date on BOY (Because Of You). From his "Dogbodys" days a Zurich dialect version of "I Wanna Be Your Dog“ (entitled "Hund") made it onto the album. According to journalist Albert Kuhn, the underground lyricist managed the balancing act of "crossing radical hippie world-hugging sentiments with raw street-rat wisdom.” A Zurich underground classic - unfortunately without Weixler's own "Züri Brännt" version(s), which he later recorded but remain unreleased.
