Konzertplakat für Taste im Electric Circus Club Lausanne, Januar 1970, signiert von der Band um den Gitarristen Rory Gallagher. Der Electric Circus wurde 1969/1970 von Peter Zumsteg konzipiert und gemanagt. Er bot ein exklusives Programm mit international angesagten, aufstrebenden Bands. Die Plakate wurden zumeist vom Grafiker Werner Jeker gestaltet, waren schwarz weiss und hatten das gleiche Format. Dieses „serielle“ Muster wurde auch bei Good News fortgesetzt.
A signed poster for a Taste show at the Electric Circus Club Lausanne, January 1970. The Electric Circus was designed and managed by Peter Zumsteg in 1969/1970 and offered an exclusive programme with internationally up-and-coming bands. Most of the posters were designed by graphic artist Werner Jeker, came striclty in black and white and had the same format. This "serial" formula was also continued when Good News started first.

Kurz vor der Gründung von Good News veranstaltete Peter Zumsteg ein Konzert mit der Yardbirds-Nachfolgeformation Renaissance im Saalbau Aarau. Dies war eine Art „Sneak Preview“ für die späteren Good News Konzerte. Ihre ersten Schweizer Gigs hatten Renaissance im vergleichweise intimen Rahmen des Electric Circus gegeben.
Shortly before Good News was founded, Peter Zumsteg organised a concert with the post Yardbirds band Renaissance at the Saalbau in Aarau. This was a kind of a "sneak preview" for the later Good News concerts. Prior to that, the first Swiss gigs of Renaissance had taken place at the Electric Circus.

GOOD NEWS STICKER
Das Affenlogo von Good News fand auch auf Klebern Platz. Mit Erfolg: Auch Paul McCartney platzierte einen auf seinem Bass-Koffer.
The monkey logo was also placed on stickers. It was a success: Paul McCartney also hand one on his bass case.
SITZMATTE
Da das Schweizer Hippie-Publikum an den frühen Good News Konzerten vorallem am Boden herumlungerte, lieferte ihnen Good News die passenden Sitzmatten mit Affen-Logo. Eines dieser Exemplare von 1971 hat überlebt!
Since the Swiss hippie audience at the early Good News concerts was mainly loitering on the floor, Good News provided them with the matching seat mats with monkey logo. One of these specimens from 1971 survived!
KISSENSCHLACHT!
Die Good News Sitzmatten hatten mindestens so euphorisierende Wirkung wie andere Stimulanzen, die Anfang der 1970er Jahre die Runde machten. Am Konzert von John Mayall in der Mehrzweckhalle Zofingen am 18. September 1971 flogen diese Matten zu Dutzenden auf die Bühne - warum, weiss heute niemand mehr. John Mayall nahm es gelassen, wie dieses Foto zeigt: Auch er versuchte sich ein Exemplar dieser Matte für seine Sammlung zu sichern.
The Good News seat mats had at least as mindblowing effects as other stimulants that made the rounds in the early 1970s. At John Mayall's concert in Zofingen on 18 September 1971, dozens of these mats were thrown onto the stage - nobody knows why any more. John Mayall took it easy, as this photo shows: He also tried to secure a copy of this mat for his collection.
